Moong Dal Halwa

In the month of ” Paush” , Shree Thakurji is offered MOONG DAL preparations . The Halwa made out of Moong ki Dal is delicious and easy to prepare sweet. Full of nutritious protein and goodness. Offer warm delicacy with the warmth of love an devotion.

Ingredients

  • Moong dal – 1 cup , soaked and grinded finely.
  • Ghee      – 1 cup
  • Sugar     – 1 cup
  • Milk       – 1 cup.
  • Cardamom powder 
  • Few strands of Saffron.

Preparation Method

  • Heat pan add Ghee and Moong dal paste . Carefully saute and keep stirring so that it does not stick the bottom. Cook till pinkish brown. When done add Milk and stirr the smooth paste of Halwa. Add Sugar and took till it dries and thickens , leaving the excess ghee and sides of the pan.
  • Add Cardamom powder and add Saffron.
  • Serve in a small silver bowl and serve Shree Thakurji in the Raj Bhog Samagri .
