Moong Daal Chilla

Moong Daal is the rich source of protein. Green Lentils are more digestion friendly. In the auspicious Dhanurmaas Shree Thakurji is offered Bhog Samagri made from Moong Daal.
Moong Daal Chilla are also known Pudlas – a common snack in Indian homes. Let us make these Lentil Crepes for our Shree Vigrah and offer the warmth packed with goodness of taste and nourishment.
Ingredients
- 1 cup – Green Moong Daal [with chilka] – soaked for 2-3 hrs.
- 1 inch piece of Ginger.
- 1 Green chilli .
- Coriander leaves chopped..
- 1 tsp Saunf / Flannel seeds.
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 Hing / asafoetida.
- Ghee for cooking .
Preparation Method
Grind into smooth paste the soaked green moong daal , with ginger, chilli , coriander , flannel seed and hing. Add salt to taste.
Heat a non -stick pan and spread evenly into thin round Chilla / Crepe – touching little Ghee on the circumference of the Chilla –
Turn when done on the other side. Cook for a minute .
Take out on a plate , roll if you like , fold and serve with green chutney .
Hing and Saunf are used to take care of the flatulence – due to the protein in the Daal .
