Gajar Ka Halwa .

with the onset of winters , Gajar / Carrots are in plenty in the vegetable markets. Rich in Beta carotine it very good for eyes, skin and vitamin B.

Gajar ka Halwa, the sweet meat is offered warm to Shree Thakurji , garnished with nuts to meet the chill of the winters teamed with with warm milk it is very good for health.

Ingredients

  • Ingredients:Carrots / Gajar – 500 gm , peeled and grated.
  • Milk whole  – 500gms.
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Almonds – chopped
  • Ghee – 2 tps.

 

Preparation Method

  • Peel and grate carrots . Heat the milk in a pan and to the boiling add the grated Carrots. Cook till the milk is solidified and the carrots are done . Add sugar and cook further. The Halwa now becomes dried . Add the Ghee and mix well. This Ghee adds colour and flavour to the Halwa .

  • Take it off the flame . Tranfer to a silver bowl and garnish with the chopped almonds.

  • Offer this tempting – nourishing halwa to Shree Thakurji with the warmth of love .
