Mint Rice

Rice cooked in simple plain way is presented in various combinations and pallet. Being the stapel diet in South Asian countries and many Indian regions predominate having Rice as a main diet course.

Rich in starch , Rice is a grain with many medicinal applications. As the most widely consumed grain on earth, it is used to fight diarrhea, relieve constipation, reduce bloodpressure, lower cholesterol level, and aid weight loss…It is cool on stomach in summers. Here we are preparing MINT FLAVOURED Rice for our sewya swaroop Shri Thakurji.


  • 1cup Boiled Rice
  • 2tbs Ghee
  • 2 tbs dried Mint Powder
  • pinch of termeric
  • pinch of red chilli powder /optional
  • 2 full Red dried chillies
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • salt to taste.

Preparation Method

Heat Ghee in a pan, add cumin /jeers and ,red chillies – allow them to splutter.

Add cooked rice, termeric, salt , mint/ pudina powder and mix well – tossing lightly- taking care not to break rice.

Your Mint / Pudina Rice is ready to serve with a bowl of curds- and ofcourse Tulsi leaf –
